God Has a Mission & God is On a Mission

The Bible says that the church is Christ’s body, which means that it is the visible, local, and public expression of God’s love for the world. Just as a body has parts that do different things, so the Bible says the church’s individual members all have specific roles to fill.

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” ~John 20:19-21 (ESV)

Jesus is both the sent and the sender. We believe that as Christians, God has called us to love our neighbor, whoever they are, whatever they believe, and whatever they need.

Here are some ways to make much of God in our neighborhood!
